The proximity and connection with major routes, freeways, railways and the airport of Porto, allow an easy access to the facilities reducing the expenses and worries of the athletes and teams in terms of transport and logistics.
WHAT TO DO
Tourism is an important trigger of the local economy. This is a region of good food and it is also one of the most recognized Portugal’s wine regions.
Sparkling wines are inseparable from this region. Their grapes have a high degree of acidity and low graduation, which makes them perfect for the production of sparkling wine, characterized by a very fine aroma.
The “Rota da Bairrada” presents you with the main attractions of the region, on a route that will guide you through a circuit that goes by the points of tourist attraction.
There are numerous ideal points of interest to discover the region’s wines and the whole wine culture and tradition. It is worth the visit to numerous cellars and wineries in the region, where you can sample wine. You shouldn’t miss a visit to the Bairrada Wine Museum in Anadia.
We highlight the following tourist attractions:
- Curia’s Park and Lake;
- Termas da Curia;
- Hotel Curia Palace;
- Food, with special emphasis for the Leitão Assado à Bairrada;
- Viniculture;
- Thermal tourism.
