The High Performance Sports Centre in Nazaré for Surf, Bodyboard and Longboard is located next to the beach Praia do Norte. Its L-shaped layout ensures that its facilities are protected from the north winds of the region, facing south with a panoramic view of the sea. This equipment is part of the Portuguese Network of High Performance Sports Centres/HIGHSPORTUGAL.

The residential area of the HPSC Nazaré consists of seven accommodation units, six with capacity for four athletes and one with room for six. The units have cupboards and specific devices to store the boards.

FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENTS

TRAINING & TECHNICAL AREA

The High Performance Sports Centre in Nazaré is dedicated to the High Performance training of surf, bodyboard and longboard and has a privileged location given the proximity to the sea, an essential tool for the development of High Performance athletes of this modality.

In addition to these natural conditions, the HPSC Nazaré was projected to offer a perfect stay for athletes and teams that want to develop their activities.

SUPPORT AREA

This HPSC has the following features: residential area, cafeteria, auditorium, gym, medical and massage office, lounge room, cleaning and maintenance area of equipment, garage and parking.

The administrative area includes the reception and the administrative office, 1 meeting room, 3 offices and sanitary facilities that simultaneously serve the dining room designed to serve 40 people.

In the sport area there is also an auditorium, a gym and a lounge room, as well as a hangar for storing boards and other nautical material.

SPECIFICATIONS

The sport area consists of a large space of about 70 square meters that can be subdivided into two areas, one of 30 square meters and another of 40 square meters, and has separated locker rooms for athletes and technicians, a massage room and a medical support/first aid office.

Although the HPSC Nazaré is intended for the modalities of the Portuguese Surf Federation, the fact that the municipality of Nazaré has a high quality sports park appeals to athletes of other sport disciplines.
